This privacy policy explains how Nettify collects and uses personal data.

1. What data do we collect?

We may collect:

  • Name and email
  • Mobile number (used for support and to help you with any questions)
  • Account information
  • Payment information (handled by third parties)
  • Usage data (how you use the service)
  • Content you generate in Nettify
  • Leads collected via the websites you create

2. What is the data used for?

We use data to:

  • Deliver and improve the service
  • Manage accounts and subscriptions
  • Deliver leads to your dashboard
  • Support and customer service
  • Security and abuse prevention

We process personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): Account creation, service delivery, subscription management, and delivering leads to your dashboard.
  • Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Analysis and improvement of the service, security and abuse prevention, and sending operational updates and service-related information.

4. Data Storage and Deletion

Data is stored securely with our providers. We retain data for the following periods:

  • Account data (name, email, and mobile number) is stored as long as your account is active.
  • Upon account deletion, we delete all personal data we hold about you - including name, email, mobile number, account information, and content you have generated - within 30 days. You can delete your account yourself from the profile page in the dashboard.
  • Payment information is handled by Stripe and is not stored by us.
  • Usage data is anonymized after 12 months.
  • Some data may be retained longer where required to comply with statutory obligations (e.g., the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires retention of invoice data for 5 years).

5. Sharing with Third Parties

We only share data with:

  • Payment provider - Stripe
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Entri (for domain connection and domain purchases)
  • Squarespace Domains (registrar for international domain purchases made through Nettify)

We never sell data.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers, such as Stripe, may process data outside the EEA. In such cases, the transfer is secured through EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent approved transfer mechanisms.

7. Cookies

Nettify uses cookies for:

  • Login
  • Functionality
  • Analysis and improvement

8. Email and SMS Communication

As a Nettify user, you may receive emails with operational updates and information about the service.

In addition, we may send you one support SMS - only once, at the start of the user relationship - to the mobile number you have provided, to offer help getting started. You are free to reply if you want help, or to ignore the message. If you ignore it, we will not contact you on SMS again. Both are based on our legitimate interest in helping you as an active user.

You can unsubscribe from email communication at any time by replying to any email you receive from us with a request to unsubscribe. You can opt out of support SMS by sending an email to [email protected].

9. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

In accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. To exercise this right, send an email to [email protected].

Please note that upon refund, your account and associated website(s) will be deactivated.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Deletion - this can be done under your profile in the dashboard
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent

If you believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

12. Changes

This declaration may be updated. Significant changes will be notified.
